The ACPA has been urging its members to get involved with the ASTM process. Past Webinars have focused on how to join ASTM. This Webinar will discuss why the ASTM process is so important to our industry, and how you can play a part in it.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Why ASTM is important to the precast concrete pipe and box culvert industry.
- What committees are currently of importance to the concrete pipe and box culvert industry.
- How you can participate in the ASTM process even though other members of your company are already members of ASTM.
- How you can participate in the ASTM process, whether you are able to attend the meetings or not.

Vice President of Engineering
American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA)
Josh Beakley is Vice President of Engineering for the American Concrete Pipe Association. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Virginia. Josh received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ and received his Master's in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. In his job functions for the American Concrete Pipe Association Josh represents the industry on national standards making committees. He also coordinates research and design programs for the precast concrete culvert industry. Occasionally, he assists engineers with the design and specification of precast concrete pipe and box culverts as well as performing educational seminars.

Technical Resource Manager
American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA)
Currently based in Irving, Texas, she has been working for the ACPA since September of 2016. As Technical Resources Manager, she works with members and engineers on any technical items related to concrete pipes and boxes. She manages the QCast program and is also a committee staff liaison between Research, Quality, and Safety. She is helping with Technical Committee Help with their database transition from IMIS to Hubspot, she enjoys automating/programming anything she can. Her day-to-day work consists of making appointments for projects, calls, and conference calls as well as checking emails as needed. She divided her day between tedious tasks to get out of way in the morning and work on the enjoyable tasks passionately in the afternoon time.
